Penguin Formula launches a R&D Department
Penguin Formula is glad to announce the launching of a new department on its structure, the R&D Department.
Our CIO, Fábio Calhau, will be taking the lead of the new department and Cristiano Rocha, our Big Data Engineer, will be operationally duty-bounded to its foundation and development.
This department will enhance a scientific mindset within the company by spotting light into R&D opportunities in current or new in-house product development projects. Furthermore, will instigate universities, as well as governmental bodies, to partner/ collaborate with Penguin Formula in R&D projects resulting on scientific papers, presences at seminars and institutional partnerships such as internship programs.
Acting as a speaker on R&D in the tech community, and setting stone for the new department, Penguin Formula will be represented through Cristiano Rocha at the 34th ACM/SIGAPP Symposium On Applied Computing, to be held in Limassol, Cyprus, from April 8th to April 12th 2019, where he’ll be presenting two scientific papers about Machine Learning. Later, Cristiano will be representing Penguin Formula at the 21st International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems (ICEIS), to be held in Crete, Greece, from May 3rd to May 5th 2019.
